Enter Complementary Information, Fault Report
Explanation
Use this activity to enter complementary information to gain a clear view of the fault.
Enter such information as discovery code to specify how the fault was
discovered, the symptoms that the fault shows, priority for the fault, the 
equipment object where the fault occurred if known, and an item class which holds failure analysis data.
Item classes are inherited 
from the equipment object, part or object type or an item class can be manually 
entered or edited if necessary.
Prerequisites
  - The equipment object must have been defined in the
	Functional Object 
	or Serial Object 
	window.
- The item class must have been defined 
	in the
	Maintenance 
	Basic Data or
	Failure Analysis 
	Setup Navigator window. 
- The discovery code, symptom code, and priority code must have been entered in 
	the 
	Work Order and PM Basic Data 
	window. 
System Effects
	- The fault report includes more information and you can
prepare the work order in the 
	Prepare Work Order
	window.
- Work Task templates can be copied to the 
	work order from the item class.

Procedure
  - Open the Fault Report 
	window.
- Query for the fault report.
- Enter an object identity in the Object ID field. Use List of Values to
    select an object.
- Enter a value in the Item Class field. Use 
	the List of Values to select a suitable value. 
- Enter a description in the Fault Description field. You can double-click
    in the field to open an editor. 
- Enter information in the Discovery Code, Symptom and Priority
	fields.
    Use the List of Values to select suitable values. 
- Save the information.
