View Capability Indices Graph

Explanation

This activity is used to view capability indices for a specific Control Plan line and to view them graphically.

Prerequisites

The corresponding Control Plan must exist, and at least two Analyses must be complete for this specific Control Plan line. The Capability Indices check box for the Control Plan line must also be selected.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, capability indices are calculated for a specific Control Plan line in a Control Plan. They are also displayed graphically.

Procedure

  1. Select the Control Plan line.
  2. Right-click and then click Capability Indices Graphs.
  3. Sprcify a time period by selecting dates in the From and To fields.
  4. Specify what frequency to use when creating the graph.
  5. Specify what specification limits to use when calculating the graph.
  6. Specify what capability indices values to be displayed by the graph.
  7. Click Create Graph to create the capability indices graph.
  8. If you want to view the measurement data used for the calculations for a specific time period, select the line in the table, right-click and then click Sample Data. The measurement data used for the calculations is displayed in the Result column.
  9. If you want to print the graph, right-click in the header part of the Capability Indices Graph window and then click Print Capability Graph. A message will appear asking you to confirm. Click Yes. The Report Print dialog box will be opened. Select the options as required and click OK.
  10. If you want to print sample data, right-click in the header part of the window and then click Print Sample Data. A message will appear asking you to confirm. Click Yes. The Report Print dialog box will be opened. Select the options as required and click OK.

Note: It is also possible to print the graph using the Order Reports window. In the Reports list, click the Capability Indices and enter the graph number.
