Study Demand Driven Planning for Parts

Explanation

This activity is used to review the net flow buffer status for buffered parts. These statuses are categorized in five zones: Blue zone, green zone, yellow zone, red zone and black zone. The parts are sorted by planning priority, which is calculated as Net Flow Position / Top of Green.

The material requirements calculation must have been performed.

Procedure

  1. Open the Demand Driven Planning for Parts window.
  2. Populate the data.
  3. Select a part for which you want to analyze net flow buffer status.
  4. To act on requisitions for a part in the black zone, red zone or yellow zone, right-click and then click Supply / Demand Details.
  5. To view action proposals for a part in any zone, right-click and then click  Action Proposals.
  6. To study MRP information about a part in any zone, right-click and then click MRP Part Information.
  7. To review execution buffer status for a part in any zone, right-click and then click Demand Driven Execution for Parts.
