Use GIS Map Tools

Integration]
Explanation
This activity explains how to use GIS Map tools.
Prerequisites
The following enables GIS Objects to be edited in GIS Map window:
- Edit capabilities like create, update and delete should have been
enabled on the layer's feature service. Edit capabilities for a feature
service are configured outside IFS Applications. On an internal ArcGIS
server, capabilities can be toggled on/off in ArcGIS Server Manager. Similar
settings are found in the layers service page on ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS
Portal. Consult ArcGIS online documentation for more details about how to
control these settings.
- GIS object's layer should have been defined as Editable in GIS
Layer Mapping window: Define
Layer Mapping.
- Layer should have been made available for the user in
GIS Layer Group window:
Define Layer Groups.
- Editable layer should have been toggled on in GIS Map/Layer
Panel.
- The map service must have been added in proxy configuration. The proxy
configuration is controlled by a setting in Map Services/Basic
Data/GIS Settings window. The name of the setting is
PROXY_CONFIGURATION. Refer to Define GIS
Settings. Information about how to add a map service in the proxy
is also described in
GIS
Concepts.
The measurement tools might require a geometry service to work,
if the map's coordinate system is not Web Mercator or geographic. This is
described here:
