Retransfer Template Structure to Site
Explanation
Use this activity to manually retransfer a top part
revision to a destination site. New manufacturing part revision records
will be created so that the phase in dates of components are compatible with the
phase in dates of parent records. You may use a feature to copy the old
structure (with Copy First option) to the new phase in date. Normal copy
routines are used to include work guidelines, maintenance levels,
and other related structure records.
Note: If the AUTO_TRANSFER_STR object property value is set to
TRUE, new template structure positions will be transferred automatically
to the valid manufacturing sites. The automatic transfer will not create new
structure revisions for the entire structure, instead the latest revision of the
parent will be updated with a new component line to reflect the new position.
Automatic transfer is initiated when the new structure position is activated.
For more information, refer the section on automatic part transfer in the online
help file
Prepare template structure for transfer to manufacturing.
Prerequisites
This activity requires that:
  - The top part has already been transferred to the site. A
candidate for retransfer is one that has a Transfer Prepared Date that is
prior or equal to the Date Last Transferred on the selected site.
- The serial structure template has been created and transferred to the
temporary transfer table, and the structure must be in Active status.
- The user has access to the transfer site that has the MRO Enabled
	check box selected. A
Default Planner and Manufacturing Engineer must also be defined for the site
  in IFS/Manufacturing Standard.
- A Part Transfer Template of type VIM Template is
  defined in IFS/Manufacturing Standard.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
  -
  The system
confirms the transfer of a top template part revision ( and all of its level structures)
  to a site.
-
If needed, inventory parts, part revisions, and structures are created.
-
A Template Transfer History record is created, with a transfer
status that indicates whether the transfer succeeded or failed.
-
A Template Transfer log is created which contains any
errors, warnings, or informational messages that were created during the transfer.
-
An inventory part record is created from the installed
  real part. If
alternates are defined for the part in the VIM serial structure template,
inventory parts are also created for alternates.
-
  If
there are valid modifications in IFS/Fleet and Asset Management that have not
already been transferred to the site, then an MRO Modification
  header record
  is created for
each of the modifications in the structure, and an MRO Part Modification
record is also created for each affected part in these modifications. If it is
an active modification, and repair codes have been assigned to affected
parts on the modification, these repair codes will be transferred along with
	the affected part information.

Template Structure/Transfer to Site
Procedure
  - Open the Transfer Template Structure window.
- Retrieve the top template part number records, either by clicking Populate
    (F2) or by making a
selective query (F3).
- The suggested New Phase In Date will be one day after the Last Phase In Date

or the Site Date, whichever is later.
- If you have set up a default Part Transfer Template in IFS/Manufacturing
Standard, the Transfer Template ID field is automatically set to the default value.
You can update the transfer template by clicking List of Values and
selecting a value or by directly entering a template.
- By default, the Copy First check box is selected. You can update the value. The
     Copy
First feature helps to preserve data that has been
previously created. If it is selected, the transfer process will copy the existing structure
to the new structure revision and merge the VIM Template structure into it.
- Highlight your site(s) in the table window. Right-click and then click
Transfer to Manufacturing.
- Click OK for any informational and warning dialogs that may appear.
