Define a Component for Direct Salvage
Explanation
Use this activity to directly 
salvage a component that is present in the actual structure received for 
repairing but is not listed in the as-built structure.
Prerequisites
Multilevel repair 
shop order should exist with the parent part in Reserved or Issued state.
System Effects
As a result of 
this activity, the component defined for direct salvage is listed in the
Shop Order/Salvage Parts  tab and the user can receive it to the 
inventory as a salvage part.

Component Replacement Details
Procedure
	- 
	Open the 
	Shop Order 
	window 
	and query for your multilevel repair shop order.
- 
	Make sure that the state 
	of the parent material line is Reserved or Issued.
- 
	Open the
	Multilevel Repair Structure tab.
- 
	Select the top part from 
	the graphical tree structure, right-click and then click Expand Descendents.
- 
	Select the revision node 
	of the parent part, from which you want to create a salvage part directly.
- 
	Right-click and then click 
	Component Replacement to open the Component Replacement Details dialog 
	box 
	with the parent part you selected in the header as the parent part.
- 
	Click Add to 
	create a new record in the table. Select Salvage from Repair Action 
	field.
- 
	In the Replace 
	Part No field, enter the part number you want to add. Here you can get the 
	List of 
	Values. 
- 
	Enter the actual values you 
	found with the part to be salvaged in Serial No, Lot/Batch No, W/D/R/No, 
	Revision No, in replacement part parameter fields.
- 
	Enter the  
	component quantity in the Replace Quantity field.
- 
	Enter the repair reason 
	for the structure changes. Here you can get the List of Values.
	
- 
	Click Apply or OK.
