Create Disposition Codes for MRB
Explanation
This activity is used to create a new disposition code for
a Material Review Board (MRB) case. A disposition code defines a kind of action
required to be taken after the MRB evaluates the parts. This may include
using a part as it is, scrapping a part, reworking a part, or returning a part
to the vendor. When registering a disposition code for scrapping a part in a
Shop Order (SO), the
Verify SO Scrap feature can be used. This allows MRB to check whether the part
has been scrapped in a SO, before completing the MRB case.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this activity.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
	- A new disposition code will be created for MRB cases.
- If the Verify SO Scrap check box is selected
when completing an MRB case in the MRB
Case window, a message will be
displayed prompting you to verify whether that particular disposition part
has been scrapped in the system. This check box is only selected for SO and
not for parts coming from Inventory or Purchase Receipts.
