Report Picking, Quantity Deviation
Explanation
When you handle customer orders or shipments with stored 
parts, they need to be reserved and
picked on a specific inventory location. Whenever the parts are picked, the 
warehouse staff
should enter what, how much, and from which inventory location they have picked the parts
for each specific order or shipment.
Use the Report Picking of 
Pick List Lines window and/or the 
Warehouse Task/Report Picking of Customer
Order tab to report picking with deviation from the generated pick list. In
the Shipment and the 
	Shipments  windows, you can report pick 
of pick list lines by using the Report Picking of Pick List Lines
right mouse button option. In this window, it is 
possible to report picking of pick list line-by-line.
When the pick list lines are
from a customer order line, you can pick both fewer and more parts than stated
on the pick list. The  Close check box on the order line can be used to close the order line after picking. You can use this function if you
want to pick report fewer parts than ordered and you do not intend to pick and deliver the remaining parts.
When pick list lines are from a project deliverable 
shipment plan, it is not allowed to pick more parts than stated on the pick 
list.
You only need to change the quantity on those pick list lines that deviate; the remaining
lines are reported according to the pick list. If you pick fewer parts than stated on the pick list 
line the remaining quantity is released, unless you use shipment inventory and 
choose to keep remaining reservations at partial picking via the order type or shipment 
type. Partial picking is useful if you are not able to pick everything at the 
same time due to some constraint (e.g., what you pick does not fit on the forklift 
or in the handling unit you pack into), then you can pick multiple times until 
you have picked everything.
In case one or several of the parts to be picked are serial tracked 
at 
receipt and issue but not 
serial tracked 
in inventory or catch-unit-handled, the Report Picking of 
Pick List Lines 
window should be used to report picking. The Report 
Picking option in the right mouse button menu will be unavailable.
For customer order connected pick lists, you can also choose between picking the parts from the selected location and picking the parts from a location other than
stated.
When handling customer orders which are not 
connected to shipments, if you no longer want to 
deliver the entire quantity picked, it is possible to
change this in the Deliver Customer Order with Differences 
window for lines not connected to any shipment. Query for
the order in question, right-click on the line and then click Make Changes in Delivery of
Inventory Parts. In the dialog box that 
appears,
enter the required quantity to deliver in the Qty to Deliver field. Click OK, right click on the line 
and then click Deliver Inventory Parts. Click OK in the dialog box that is displayed. 
This means that the quantity is no longer reserved. 
For a shipment, if you no longer want to deliver the 
entire quantity picked, it is possible to adjust the picked quantity before 
delivery in four different ways: removal of shipment lines, reassignment of 
shipment line quantities, reassignment of handling units, or adjustments in the 
shipment inventory. This means that the content of the shipment is changed and 
the handling unit structure and the documents must be reviewed again before 
delivery.
When pick-reporting MRO Objects, it is not possible to report more than the reserved quantity.
Prerequisites
  - The customer order lines or shipment lines must have been reserved.
- A pick list must have been generated.
- For customer orders, if you want to use multiple units of measure when
    entering the quantities to pick, the  inventory part must have been connected to an
    input
    UoM group, and also the Sales Usage Allowed check box on one or more
    input UoMs (belonging to that input UoM group) must have been selected.
System Effects
	- The customer order lines or shipment lines will be reported as picked. Reservations for parts not pick reported are dropped, 
	unless you pick on line level and have chosen to keep reservations at 
	partial picking into shipment inventory.
- For customer orders, if the Close check box is marked to close the order line after picking, the order line will not receive the 
	Partially Delivered status when the delivery is made. Instead the order line receives the status 
	Delivered.- For source
	lines connected to a shipment, the next 
	event in the shipment flow will be triggered if the shipment type allows 
	this. Any optional events defined to be 
	executed at report picking in the shipment flow, will be triggered.
- If you use a shipment inventory, a dialog box is visible after the confirmation of the
report. The dialog box suggests a shipment location as a default value. If you have access
to several shipment locations, you can select a shipment location other than proposed.
- For customer orders, if a quantity 
	greater than the quantity on the pick list is reported, supply peggings will 
	be reduced. However, pegging quantities are not always deducted. The pegging 
	quantities are only deducted if the quantity to peg is affected for the 
	customer order. If the existing pegging has a one-to-one relationship with a 
	demand, the peggings will be automatically adjusted (reduced). If multiple 
	peggings exist for the customer order line, the pegging quantities will be 
	reduced. In this case, peggings against purchase order lines are prioritized 
	and will be consumed before peggings against shop orders.

  - Open Report Picking of Pick List 
  Lines window, search for the required pick list via the Populate or Query function. The lower part of the window displays the
  reserved parts. The required pick list can also be 
	reached by right-clicking and then clicking the Report Picking of Pick List Lines 
	option in the Shipment window, Report Picking 
	of Pick Lists  window, in the Shipments 
	window and in the Consolidated Pick 
  List/Connected Shipments tab.
- In the Qty to Pick column, state the correct quantity of parts that have been picked. You only need to state the quantity
  for those lines that differs from the pick list. 
  (You can only report more quantity than stated in the pick list only if the 
  pick lists are for customer order lines).
 Note: If you have connected the inventory part to an input UoM group and
    selected the Sales Usage Allowed
    check box (on one or more input UoMs of that group),
    then you can enter the quantities of picked parts, in input
    units other than the inventory unit of measure. You can select an input UoM
    from the Input UoM list. You can enter the parameters either in
    the Input Qty field or the Input UoM Parameters
    window.
 
- For customer order connected pick lists, 
  mark the Close check box to close the order line after picking, if you want to pick report fewer parts than ordered
  and you do not intend to pick and deliver the remaining parts.
- Select the line(s) and confirm the report by selecting Report Picking from 
	Selected Locations from the Operations menu.
  In case there also were order lines with no deviation, the system reminds you about them. (See step 5)
- To pick all remaining line(s) on the pick list at the same time, right-click in the 
	header and then click Report Picking of Pick List 
	Lines.
 Note: This is only possible when in the Report Picking 
	of Pick Lists/Details tab.
- Select OK to confirm the report in the displayed information box.
- If there are reserved 
	unidentified 
	parts that are serial tracked at receipt and issue, then the 
	Identify Serials dialog box appears to identify serials. 
	You can enter or use the list of values to enter available serials at the selected location. Confirm the serial by 
	clicking OK. 
	If the parts are 
	serial tracked
	at receipt and issue but not 
	serial tracked 
	in inventory, a dialog box appears where the serial number(s) that has been picked should be 
	identified. Click OK when completed.
- In case you have entered a quantity greater then the revised quantity, i.e. the quantity stated on the order line,
  the 
	Overpicked Order Lines
	dialog box will appear. To confirm the pick report, click OK in the dialog box.
- In case the parts are to be delivered into a shipment location, a dialog 
	box displays an inventory location as default value. If you approve of this location, 
	confirm by clicking OK. If you have access to several shipment locations
  and wish to place the parts in another location, click on the list box to view a list of all existing shipment locations.
  Select the desired inventory location and confirm the transaction via the OK button.
- If the picking was done by selecting lines and 
	then selecting Report Picking from 
	Selected Locations from the operations menu (see step 4), and you pick 
	less than all the pick list lines corresponding to the same order line 
	without closing them, and you have not chosen to keep reservations at 
	partial picking into shipment inventory, then you will get a question to 
	decide whether or not the remaining reserved quantity should be kept and 
	possibly picked later.
