Confirm Detailed Transfer
Explanation
Use this activity to confirm the transfer of detailed structures
from IFS Engineering.
Prerequisites
- A detailed engineering structure must be defined.
- Prototype Part Revision Prefix must be defined in the

Site/Manufacturing tab in order to create prototype structures.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the system creates a product structure.
Depending on the part transfer template
defined for parts in the structure, alternate components are also transferred,
possibly overwriting existing definitions in manufacturing.

Procedure
	- Open the Engineering Revision Transfer Actions
window. Query for the parent part.
- Select the line. Right click and then click Engineering Transfer
	In Process.
- Open the Engineering Structure Transfer Graphic
window, right-click and then click Confirm.
- Then open the Product Structure
	window. Query
for the transferred part in your site. Promote the transferred structure
	into Buildable state.
Note
	- You should promote the manufacturing structure from Tentative
to Buildable state or set it to Obsolete
state if it is not in use.

-
This should be done because of how the Engineering Transfer
process handles Tentative structure revisions. It is
possible to create a situation where there is not a revision of a
component in effect for the time the parent is phased in. Where only
Tentative structure revisions exist, the Engineering Transfer
process will update the revision, phase in
and phase out dates on the oldest Tentative structure
		revision.
