Assign Revision to Site

Explanation

Use this activity to assign an engineering revision to a site. This will link this part/revision to the current site record, but will not transfer the revision.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• The destination site must exist in the system
• The engineering revision must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The system assigns an engineering revision to a site. 
• If the assignment takes place in the Engineering Revision Transfers window, the engineering revision is moved from Engineering Revision Transfers to the Engineering Revision Transfer Actions window. 
• In Engineering Revision Transfer Actions, the action status for the part(s) is set to Assigned.

Procedure

Engineering Revision Transfers:

1. Open the Engineering Revision Transfers window.
2. Select the destination site in the Current Site field. Use the List of Values to select from available sites.
3. Select Populate to retrieve the part records.
4. Select the engineering revision(s) to move to the Engineering Revision Transfer Actions window. After they are moved, the revisions have Assigned status.
5. Right-click, then click Assign.

Engineering Revision Transfer Actions:

1. Open the Engineering Revision Transfer Actions window.
2. Select the engineering revision(s) for which to change the status to Assigned.
3. Right-click, then click Assign.
