Disconnect Dimension Value
Explanation
This activity is used to disconnect dimension values from a parallel
consolidation structure.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity, the status of the relevant parallel
consolidation structure should be In Progress.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- The dimension value will be disconnected from the parallel consolidation
structure.
- Disconnect transactions are created for the disconnected dimension
value.

Procedure
To disconnect dimension values from a parallel consolidation structure:
- Open the Parallel Consolidation Structure window and search for
the parallel consolidation structure from which the dimension value should
be disconnected.
- Right-click on the dimension value that should be disconnected and click
Disconnect Dimension Value to open the Disconnect Dimension
Value dialog box.
- Enter the date from which the disconnection is valid in the Event
Date field.
- Modify the value in the Period field if required. (Note:
The period is automatically displayed when you enter a date in the Event
Date field.)
- Enter a description of the event in the Comment field if
required.
- Double click on the Notes check box, if you want to enter notes
about the disconnection of the dimension value.
- Click OK.
