Copy or Import Column Template

Explanation

This activity is used to copy a column template either from the current company or from another company in IFS Financials. You can import a column template that has been created in a company in another data base. You can also import any available system template.

Prerequisites

In order to copy the column template, it must exist in another company.

In order to import a column template, a file including the column template must have been created in another company.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the column template can be used in a report template.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to copy a column template:

  1. Open the  Column Templates window.
  2. Right-click in the window and then click Copy Template From to open the Copy Column Template dialog box.
  3. Enter the ID of the company from which you want to copy the column template in the From Company field.
  4. Enter the ID of the column template you want to copy in the From Template field.
  5. In the New Template Name field, enter the name with which the copied template should be saved.
  6. Click OK  to save the information and close the dialog box.

Use the following procedure to import a column template:

  1. Open the  Column Templates window.
  2. Right-click in the window and then click Import Column Template to open the Import Column Template dialog box.
  3. Select either Import File or System Template Name depending on whether you want to import the column template from an external file or an available system template.
  4. If you selected Import File, click Browse to find the external file from which the column template should be imported. If you selected System Template Name, select the system template that you want to import.
  5. In the New Template Name field, enter the name with which the imported template should be saved.
  6. Click OK  to save the information and close the dialog box.
