This activity is used to define and maintain login information for external tax systems like Vertex. You can login to Vertex using username and password or using a trusted id provided by Vertex.
There are no prerequisites.
As a result of this activity login information will be entered and it will be possible to retrieve tax information from an external tax system.

Vertex login info:
1. Open the External Tax System Parameters window.
2. In the group box for Vertex O Series Information, enter login information related to Vertex. If you are using username and password to login to Vertex, enter Username and Password. If you are using trusted id to login to Vertex, enter Trusted ID.
3. In the group box for Vertex O Series Information, select the correct version that is used for Vertex Sales Tax O Series in the drop down list.
4. Save your changes.
Avalara login info:
1. Open the External Tax System Parameters window.
2. In the group box for Avalara Connection Information, enter User name and Password.
3. Save your changes.
4. Once the login information is saved, it is possible to verify the connection to Avalara by selecting RMB Verify Avalara Connection.
